Glenn Beck -Joe McCarthy's reincarnation
†*in his own words*†† †††††††††According to Wikipeda, the New World Order Encyclopaedia, Glenn Beck (born February 10, 1964) is an American radio/television host, conservative political commentator, and entrepreneur. In practice, he is a certified wacko. There is no grey zone in the world today, you are what you advocate, and there are too many independent analysts on the Internet to escape appropriate scrutiny.
Glenn Beck's entire raison d'etre is to elect John McCain, and the inevitable consequence of these crackpot fanatics is that they accomplish the exact opposite of what they preach.
Sneaky, Republican party advocates like Glenn Beck try to create the impression that they are legitimate journalists by saying things like, "I am a conservative who happens to not be a Republican." If he said something like, "I want to be the next Rush Limbaugh" he would at least be considered to be an honest man.
You can measure the effectiveness of wackos like Glenn Beck by the delusion of their self-promos. Consider the following:
"The Rush Limbaugh Show is the most listened to radio talk show in America, broadcast on over 600 radio stations nationwide. It is hosted by America's Anchorman, Rush Limbaugh, also known as: America's Truth Detector; the Doctor of Democracy; the Most Dangerous Man in America; the All-Knowing, All-Sensing, All-Everything Maha Rushie; defender of motherhood, protector of fatherhood and an all-around good guy.
There is a "consensus" among the American people, who have made this the most listened to program, that it is also the most accurate, most right, and most correct. People who disagree with this are Rush Deniers."
Guess what folks? Most people who listen to Rush Limbaugh vote for the Democratic party. The lunatics, who are brainwashed by his megalomanic pronouncements are either too ficckle to be influenced by anything or too high on the booze or on the prescription medication, which is the preferred tonic of recovering CON-servatives like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.
The era when wackos can hide behind the pretence that they are reporting the news is over.
The New York Times (12/4/06), profiling new CNN Headline News host Glenn Beck, called him "brash" and "opinionated," with an "unfiltered approach." The conservative talk-radio host-turned-cable news announcer, the paper reported, "takes credit for saying what others are feeling but are afraid to say." He is a self-identified, fearless lunatic, and that makes him "entertainment" rather than "news" value.
The Times mentioned one of the things Beck said to newly elected U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), a Muslim: "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies."
Glenn Beck makes Senator Joe McCarthy look good and the New York Times look bad, for not making the comparison.
CNN did not take Beck's politics into account when it hired him, and it is clear and obvious that MSNBC reflects its own extreme bias when it tolerates McCarthyite, hate-mongering. You kind of wonder how the same network can tolerate Glenn Beck and Tim Russert at the same time, or did one of them prove to be too much of a journalis and not enough Beck.
Beck's long history of CIA-rogue rhetoric makes you kind of wonder, doesn't it? On his radio show, CNN host Glenn Beck expressed disdain for at Supreme Court ruling granting terror suspects the right to challenge their detention in civilian courts, exclaiming that if he were President, he would do away with detaining and prosecuting terrorism suspects altogether. Instead, a President Beck would "shoot them all in the head [if] we think that they are against us."
Joe McCarthy Beck is living the dream through rhetoric like, " We're going to shoot them all in the head. If we think that they are against us, we're going to shoot them and kill them, period. Because thatís the only thing we've got going for us is we can put them away and get information. If we can't put them away and they're going to use our court system, kill them."
The best information about Glenn Beck is garnered from Internet message board posters who make comments like: "Apparently Mormon boy, Glenn Beck forgot that he lives in America where: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that *ALL* men are created *equal* , that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable *Rights*
These are the new journalists, the new chroniclers of our life and times, and the only people worth listening to, because if you listen to Glenn Beck you will invariably begin to act like a lunatic !
Glenn Beck is amusing, at best, Joe McCarthy at worst, and a cancer on democracy whenever the media is dominated by the likes of the propaganda he promotes.
The State of the Dispute
MR. ROVE: Like too many Democrats, it strikes me they are ready to give the green light to go to war, but when it gets tough and when it gets difficult, they fall back on that partyís old pattern of cutting and running. They may be with you at the first shots, but they are not going to be there for the last tough battles. They are wrong, and profoundly wrong, in their approach.
(End of videotape)
MR. RUSSERT: Cutting and running.
REP. MURTHA: Heís, heís in New Hampshire. Heís making a political speech. Heís sitting in his air conditioned office with his big, fat backside, saying, "Stay the course." Thatís not a plan. I mean, this guyóI donít know what his military experience is, but thatís a political statement. This is a policy difference between me and the White House. I disagree completely with what heís saying.
