The Rise & Fall of Howard Dean

This is the typical debate which explains the obsession to destroy Kerry through proxy:

Kerry supporter: Why does Kerry terrify you?

Bush supporter: Because he might win.

Kerry supporter: Thanks for your honesty.

Bush supporter: No problem. Anyone who is endorsed by the drunken, murdering Senator from Kerry's homestate, can't be good for the country.

Kerry supporter: And what makes you think you have the right to determine what is good for the country?

Bush supporter: no response.

Another Bush supporter came to the rescue and offered this response:

"I sir, am a member in good standing of this much beloved country's citizenry. 'Tis better that we the people make the decisions than fat old farts like Senator Kennedy."

This hostile, anti-Kennedy rhetoric is not an isolated incident, and having carefully studied Howard Dean's rise and fall, it is safe to conclude that the fanatics who feared the candidacy of John Kerry are absolutely responsible for creating the perception that Howard Dean's political candidacy was unstoppable.

This public service, nsnews announcement is provided for the benefit of people like CNN's Aaron Brown, who were scratching their heads when the polls indicated that John Kerry was leading Iowa.

Howard Dean is popular because he opposes the war and he is riding on the support of the disenfranchised and on the support of Republican strategists who seek to exploit the impression that anti-war is anti-American. The support of the disenfranchised makes Howard Dean look good, but the Republicans sell ideas the way soap is marketed, and without Republican support, Howard Dean would be irrelevant. Anybody who does not understand the fact that Howard Dean is supported because he is not electable, is subject to the manipulation which is all too human and all too common, in a political process where the power of persuasion has been supplanted by the power of manipulation.

The ultimate irony of the plot to turn Howard Dean into the "peace" candidate is that John Kerry is in fact the genuine peace activist. If that picture on the bottom of this website was with Howard Dean instead of John Kerry, you can rest assured that it would have been plastered on the front page of every single magazine in the world. You expose the truth by what is deliberately ommitted, not by the campaigns that Republican strategists secretely finance.

The effort to destroy Kerry through branding him a Massachussettes Liberal persists, as if there is anything wrong with being a Massachussettes Liberal. The mainstream media evidently thinks that "Massachussettes Liberal" is a slur, and the mainstream media will not change its mind until President John F. Kerry occupies the White House.

By the way, CNN's Jeff Greenfield has just expanded the Massachussettes Liberal slur. It is now Massachussettes Elitist Liberal. Elitist is another word for educated and intelligent, and the lack thereof is directly responsible for 9/11.

A word about election 2008: The republicans are well organized and ready for the next election. Romney says that he quit "for the sake of party unity in times of war." In other words, Romney probably made a backroom deal with the McCain campaign -quit and you can be my vice president. The Republicans have it all figured out. McCain wants eight more years for more war and then Romney will take over and groom the next crop because this war is supposed to last a hundred years.

If Obama is a real leader, he will soon realize that if the republicans are organized enough to destroy the formidable, Kerry/Edwards ticket, they are formidable enough to make minced meat out of him. Rhetoric is cheap. The fact is, Obama needs Hillary Clinton more than he needs her and for the sake of party unity, he ought to agree to be Hillary's vice president because the democrats do not otherwise stand a chance.
