The media never fails to equivocate. Two Canadian politicians had separate vehicular "accidents" on the same day. Controversial independent MP Helena Guergis (Stephen Harper's political baggage) was allegedly hurt when her car was hit by another vehicle, while Mario Laguë, communications director of Liberal Party leader Michael Ignatieff, was violently pounded to death.Guergis, 41, was rushed to the hospital. The 49 year old lady who drove the SUV that was involved in the Mario Laguë hit was also taken to hospital -best place to go, if you have something to hide. (A reader posted the following note on our message board: Media reports are very confusing. I repeatedly heard that a woman was driving the SUV as well but I just read a global news report which indicated the following: "The male driver of the SUV was taken to hospital and treated for neck and back injuries.")
We are obviously supposed to assume that Guervis and Mario Laguë suffered the same fate but the Spin Doctors who control politicians are there for a reason, and it is certainly not for their capacity to be believable.
The news cycle is extremely predictable but the golden rule of real journalism is to assume absolutely nothing until you have had the opportunity to scrutinize the accident report. If the details do not emerge within the first 48 hours, it is a professionally managed roadkill.
No need to speculate here. Mario Laguë was a Communications Director, not a Spin Doctor. The Conservatives are in power because they have crafty Spin Doctors, they do not communicate.
Ironic, isn't it? Stephen Harper's Conservatives need a good Communications Director now, more than ever, because the media has certainly proved to be absolutely useless and clueless and Canadians deserve far more than IGNORANT, SPIN DOCTORS.
We are supposed to believe that Helena Guergis survived a crash while Mario Laguë died in an accident.
The truth is not media-scripted. Try it, if you can handle it.
